Vogue Pattern $2.00
Dorothy's Dress was made by the home economics teacher of the Carleton Place High School. She used Vogue Couturier Pattern #545 - Bridal or Evening Dress and Bolero was copyighted in 1950 and the pattern was priced at $2.00.

The back of the pattern describes the dress as "Centre-front panel in bodice is cut in one with skirt front. Gored sides and back of skirt join bodice at slightly dropped waist-line. Bare top bodice. Brief bolero, slightly flared in back, has three-quarter-length kimono sleeves."

They recommended suitable fabrics to be: Satin, Slipper Satin, Faille, Taffeta, Velvet, Organdie, Eyelet Bastiste, Pique Rayon or Silk Serge, Lace.
